What is included in a 14-day recovery program?

A 14-day program is designed for patients who need structured support immediately after hospital discharge — typically for a surgery, acute illness, or chemotherapy cycle. It includes daily or alternating nursing visits, MBBS doctor follow-up, physiotherapy (where needed), medication management, and family communication updates.

Can I extend a program if my family member needs more time?

Yes. Programs can be extended at the end of the initial period. Your care coordinator will discuss this with you as the program comes to a close, based on how the patient is progressing.

Are annual care plans only for elderly patients?

No. Annual plans are for anyone who benefits from regular, ongoing home health monitoring — elderly patients, those managing chronic conditions like diabetes or heart disease, and patients who simply want to stay on top of their health through the year.

What is the difference between a recovery program and an annual care plan?

Recovery programs are time-limited (14, 21, or 30 days) and intensive — designed for the critical post-discharge or post-treatment window. Annual plans are ongoing and lighter-touch — regular check-ins, monitoring, and preventive care spread across the year.

Can multiple services be combined into one package?

Yes. Most patients need more than one type of professional — a nurse and a physiotherapist, for example, or a doctor visit alongside dietitian support. We design care packages around the patient's full clinical picture, not individual service lines.

Do packages include medication supply or pharmacy services?

No. Upchar Setu does not supply medications. Our care professionals help with medication management — ensuring the right medications are being taken at the right times, monitoring for side effects, and flagging concerns to the treating doctor. Medications are sourced separately by the family.
